Fuchs Announces New Additions to Management Team

Since the move to our new facility in late 2016, exciting things have been happening at Fuchs! Most recently, we added two new members to our management team, Derrick Epley as Director of Operations, and Marty Lev, Director of Supply Chain. Their extensive qualifications and proven track records of successfully implementing and optimizing supply chain and operations programs make them both ideally suited for supporting our customers’ needs and improving our internal processes as Fuchs continues to grow. Read on to learn more about Derrick and Marty.

As director of operations, Derrick is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, as well as implementing and optimizing production processes.

Prior to joining Fuchs North America, Derrick most recently held the role of assistant plant manager at Dairy Farmers of America. He previously held operations and production management roles at Nestle, Starbucks and Amazon.

Derrick holds a BS in Information Systems with an emphasis on Industrial Science from Western Kentucky University.

“As I begin my new journey with Fuchs, I am very excited about collaborating and working with our team to propel the manufacturing operations to world class manufacturing.  The operations leadership team has aligned on the following mission moving forward: 1) Create an environment that exhibits a safety culture with 100% ownership   2) Educate our team members to be teachers, not just students in food safety 3) Become operational experts in not only running equipment efficiently, but maintaining it to its full potential as well 4) Empower and develop our Fuchs team members to be creators of excellence and take ownership in everything we do,” Derrick explains.

As director of supply chain, Marty is responsible for developing and optimizing supply chain processes, including procurement and planning.

Prior to joining Fuchs North America, he held the role of director of global planning and procurement for Medifast, Inc., where he was successful in improving planning processes and generating cost savings. Marty previously spent five years as the director of procurement at Williams Scotsman, where he created a structured procurement program to support more than 90 branches in 3 countries. He also held operations and supply chain management roles at Givaudan Flavors prior to that.

Marty holds a DBA in Supply Chain Management from Argosy University and an MBA in Corporate Finance from University of Baltimore.

“I am looking forward to working with a great group of people to improve the supply chain function so that we can provide exceptional service to our customers,” Marty notes.
