Dumplings have been delighting consumers recently, amassing popularity due to their diverse flavors, textures, and cooking methods. Consisting of small masses of dough cooked by boiling, steaming, or frying and wrapped around a savory or sweet filling, this versatile dish is characterized by convenience, easily enjoyed morning, noon, or night as a satisfying snack, appetizer, or even main course.

From bite-sized buns to hearty hand pies, dumplings differ greatly depending on where you are in the world, with different cultures offering their own unique twists on these doughy delicacies. With so many international variations and flavorful fillings, dumplings can cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences, allowing them to appeal to a broad consumer base.

To authentically replicate and innovate with the flavors of diverse dumpling varieties from across the globe, our team completed a food tour of five different restaurants, experiencing dumping recipes that hailed from Asia, Europe, Latin America, and everywhere in between. After devouring many dumplings, we were inspired to develop our new Dumplings to Die For Collection. This new collection celebrates the diversity of dumplings, featuring three innovative seasonings that enhance the flavor of some of the most sought-after dumpling varieties from top trending cuisines.

These three seasonings are just the starting point for exploring all that dumplings have to offer, and not only deliver delicious flavors for dumplings but also serve as flavor inspiration for a wide array of other food products. Fiesta Fusion Seasoning

Fiesta Fusion Seasoning

Ingredients: Salt, spices, dehydrated onion, sugar, dehydrated garlic and not more than 2% silicon dioxide and sunflower oil used as processing aids.
Pupusa – featuring Fiesta Fusion Seasoning
  1. Start by cooking 1lb of ground pork until browned. Season with Fiesta Fusion Seasoning at 3-4%.
  2. Put seasoned meat mixture in a bowl and let it sit in the fridge to fully cool while you make the masa mix.
  3. Masa: Add 2 cups of masa, 1.5 cups of warm water, and 1tsp of salt to a bowl and mix to form a ball. Cover the masa with a damp towel and allow it to rest for 30 minutes.
  4. When you are ready to make the pupusas, break off a golf ball-sized ball of dough and flatten it to a ¼” thick disc. Add 1TBSP of filling to the middle of the disc and top with shredded quesadilla cheese. Cover with a second disc and seal the edges. Form into a ball then flatten it out a second time to form a ½” thick disc.
  5. Cook on a comal or pan on medium-high heat until golden brown, flip, and cook the same way again
  6. Serve warm with pickled cabbage and enjoy!
