Ingredients:
- 2lbs. washed tomatillos with skins removed
- 1 medium sweet onion cut into quarters with skin and stem removed
- 1 ripe peeled and deseeded Avocado
- 2TBSP Fresh Lime Juice
- 2TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2TBSP Fuchs Tomatillo and Avocado Salsa Seasoning
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 400*F
- Preheat a large skillet or pan over medium high heat.
- Place 1Tbsp of olive oil in the hot pan and roast tomatillos and onions until they start to brown.
- Move the pan around so they tomatillos do not burn.
- Place pan in the oven and cook for 15 minutes or until browned and fully cooked.
- In a blender place cooked tomatillos and onions with the lime juice and olive oil. Blend until smooth, about 20 seconds.
- Add Avocado and seasoning and blend until smooth.
- Serve warm with your favorite chips or as a sauce to your favorite Tex-Mex dish.
