Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1 large lemon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 2 TBSP extra-virgin olive oil
- 3-4 TBSP water
- 2-3 tsp Harissa Seasoning or Za’atar Seasoning
Steps
- In a food processor combine Tahini and Lemon Juice and mix for 1 minute.
- Scrape sides and bottom of the bowl and process for another minute to whip the tahini into a cream
- Add the olive oil and garlic clove and process for 30-45 seconds.
- Open and drain the chickpeas through a strainer then add to the food processor and blend for 1 minute
- Scrape the sides and blend for another 1-2 minutes making sure the mixture is smooth.
- Add a little water 1TBSP at a time getting to desired consistency.
- Remove and add to a bowl or serving vessel of your choice.
- Top with either the Harissa or Za’atar and serve with pita chips.
