Get to Know The Latest Additions to the Fuchs Team!

This week we’re putting the spotlight on two of our newest team members!

Kyle Frost, Seasoning Operations Manager

Q: Tell us about yourself.

A: I graduated from the University of Maryland – College Park with a degree in Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Management. I started my career working as a Supply Chain Consultant for two different consulting firms with clients such as USPS, US Army, and US Corps of Engineers. I then became a Supply Planner for Stanley Black and Decker, before spending the last seven years as a manager in the seasoning and spice industry. For fun, I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and watching pretty much any sport on tv, but mainly my Ravens and Terps. I have a wife and a 2-year-old son, and we live on our family farm.

Q: What is your favorite part of your role here at Fuchs so far?

A: So far, I have enjoyed meeting the many hard-working people in the various departments with a passion for helping Fuchs succeed. It’s exciting to see so many people that are driven and motivated towards common goals.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about your role?

A: I am really looking forward to helping make the lives of our employees better through improvements and efficiencies, while also growing our business and exceeding our customers’ expectations. I see many opportunities, and I want to help our employees see their ideas come to fruition.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: I would have to say most forms of fast food, and all the grease and cheese that come along with it. Beyond that, though, I would have to say a good cut of steak. My family raises their own beef cattle, so a nice Black Angus steak with salt, pepper, and butter is all I need.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like our customers/fellow employees to know about you?

A: My door is always open, and I look forward to learning as much as possible!

Dustin Mariman, Spice Operations Manager

Q: Tell us about yourself.

A: I was born and raised in Western Kansas in a small-town with a population less than 3,000. I participated in Future Farmers of America (FFA), traveling nationally to events. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors in Milling Science and Management. I was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. I moved to the East Coast in 2008 for my career. I have worked for food companies as well as a local family-owned flour mill for 10+ years prior to coming to Fuchs. I live in Carroll County, Maryland with my wife and 12-year-old daughter.  I enjoy golfing, coaching my daughter’s basketball team, and home improvement projects.

Q: What is your favorite part of your role here so far?

A: I enjoy working with a team of people to get the job done. I genuinely enjoy helping my team learn why they do things and help them to grow as individuals and as a department to be stronger.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about your role?

A: I bring a strong background in food manufacturing and systems management to the company, and I look forward to growing the food safety culture and improved systems to make the process smoother for everyone.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: I love a good chicken parmigiana dish.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like our customers or employees to know about you?

A: I look forward to getting to know everyone at Fuchs. I also see a lot of similarities between flour milling and spice milling so I look forward to infusing my knowledge of flour milling into the spice world to make our milling operations run more efficiently.
