2022 Year in Review

As we look forward to a new year, it’s also a good time to look back on 2022 as it comes to a close. With just a few days left in the year, we’re celebrating our many milestones and also reflecting on the trends that have emerged over the past year that will continue influencing the food industry in the months and years to come. Here’s a recap of some of the highlights from our year.

Launching New Innovations

We released several new seasoning collections in 2022!

  • The Korean Kraze Collection embraced consumers’ recent obsession with Korean cuisine by showcasing some new twists on Korean classics.
  • The Tasty Toppers Collection introduced craveable flavors and textures made to elevate popular food products and deliver unique sensory experiences.
  • The Spooking Season[ings] Collection highlighted opportunities for developing LTOs that capture the excitement and nostalgia of everyone’s favorite fall holiday.
  • The Winter Wonderland Collection put seasonal inspiration in the spotlight, showcasing innovative takes on beloved wintertime foods.

We also released two new white papers!

  • International Inspirations highlights trends from around the world, while also providing ahead-of-the-curve concept ideas that are inspired by international cuisines.
  • Buzzworthy Beverages showcases how the latest trends have been taking hold in the beverage category. Our experts also offer their recommendations and concept ideas for developing exciting, craveable beverages.

Highlighting the Trends

Our blog covered macro trends as well as category specific trends for snacks, dairy, frozen food and more, with our experts giving their takes on the various ways in which brands can get ahead of the trends and focus on what’s new and what’s next. We highlighted global cuisine cravings from Africa, Latin America, and Asia, demonstrating how to appeal to Gen Z and Millennial consumers. We also addressed how health and wellness trends, including those that emphasize mental health, are influencing the food industry.
