Candy and Costumes and Cookies – Oh My!

Halloween may have passed, but here at Fuchs we are still chowing down on our leftover Halloween candy and thinking about all of the spooky fun we had at our Halloween Costume Contest and Candy Bar Party!

On October 31, Fuchs employees were encouraged to get in the Halloween spirit by dressing up in their best costumes and participating in the Halloween Costume Contest. When it was time for all costumed Fuchs employees to get together for costume judging, a team of judges from our plant, voted on their favorite Halloween costumes in four main categories: “Most Original Costume,” “Scariest Costume,” “Best Group Costume,” and “Funniest Costume.” As an extra incentive to inspire some friendly competition, costume contestants who received the most votes per category were awarded prizes. A delicious array of candies – from chocolate bars to lollipops – were also arranged in the judging room with goodie bags perfectly placed to allow contestants and non-contestants alike to gather and munch on their favorite sweets.

An array of costumes was seen throughout the Halloween Day at Fuchs, but a special congratulations goes out to this year’s costume contest winners. Dawn Perrin, who wore an intricately detailed bubble gum machine costume, won “Most Original Costume;” with Diane Koerber in accounting winning “Scariest Costume” for her awesomely spooky witch costume. Gale Yount, Traci Calp, Sam Seipp, Justin Silvia, Kathy Hicks and James Piercefield, all showed off their amazing pirate costumes, winning them “Best Group Costume.” Disco Queen Zina Jeffers from our purchasing department took home the award of “Funniest Costume” for her super groovy costume, too.

Talk about a great event to kick-off the Halloween Day and to celebrate into the fun of fall!
