Why Sauces?

Why choose sauces to be our primary focus for this collection? In recent years, consumers have come to appreciate the versatility of sauces and dips, yet they’ve been wanting more from brands in terms of innovation. There has been a massive increase in interest in foods that feature new flavors and textures, and the seasonings in our Shareworthy Sauces and Spreads Collection deliver exactly that.

Consumers have been seeking out global foods and flavors to satisfy their desires for new experiences and adventure, and global condiments, like sriracha, have proven to be an approachable, but exciting way for consumers to try out flavors from different parts of the world. Our newest collection capitalizes on this trend by featuring flavors and recipes that are popular in other areas of the world, helping consumers to satisfy their cravings for exotic global cuisines.

Our Featured Seasonings

Sikil P’ak Seasoning

Sikil P’ak is among the less familiar global recipes and flavor profiles to North American consumers, making it ideal for appealing to consumers who want new, unfamiliar, and unique flavors that take them on a flavor journey to unknown places. Originating from South Yucatan, sikil p’ak is a part of the hummus family, but instead of a chickpea blend, it’s made with pumpkin seeds. The flavors in our Sikil P’ak Seasoning combine with a pumpkin seed base to create a deliciously savory take on a familiar favorite that consumers will love.

Salsa Macha Seasoning

Salsa macha, a popular Mexican condiment with a mild heat has seen substantial growth in recent years, and it’s not expected to slow down anytime soon. Our Salsa Macha Seasoning was made to be mixed into olive oil to create a flavorful Mexican-inspired sauce with the perfect amount of heat. In addition to our oil-based salsa macha, we have a recipe to create a delectable creamy version as well.

Guasacaca Seasoning

“Wait, do you mean guacamole?” No, we don’t! Originating from Venezuela, guasacaca is the cousin of traditional Mexican guacamole. It’s an avocado spread that includes fresh flavors from green peppers, which are showcased in our Guasacaca Seasoning. Thanks to its rich creaminess, craveable flavor profile, and vibrant color, it’s sure to be a hit with consumers of all ages.

Just the Beginning

Although sauces, spreads, and dips have been an option on menus for as long as most consumers can remember, they have become fundamental factors in consumers’ decision making and are perceived as something that can determine the success of a dish. Foodservice establishments across the country have been stepping up their game when it comes to sauces and condiments. Consumers’ expectations for retail products are informed by foodservice trends, which means that retail brands should be focused on innovating within this category.

One of the most popular trends within the food industry is the craze around innovating with global flavors. Each of the seasonings within this collection are centered around a region that consumers have shown interest in seeing more flavor inspiration from for quite some time: Latin America. From Mexico to Venezuela, the flavors and recipes we’re featuring in this collection are inspired by Latin American cuisine and highlight some of the most popular flavors found in their traditional sauces, spreads, and dips.

The innovation doesn’t end in the sauce and dip categories, however. Brands are finding ways to bring popular sauce flavors to the snack aisle as well. Flavorings for snacks also tend to mimic the flavors found in foodservice, and drawing inspiration from flavorful sauces is are a great place to start. The possibilities are endless when it comes to innovating with sauce flavors around the world.
