This week we’re putting the spotlight on another new addition to our team, our new business development manager Patrick Cozza. Keep reading to get to know him!
Patrick Cozza, Business Development Manager
Q: Tell us about yourself.
A: I received my Bachelor’s degree in Food Science at the University of Delaware in 2017. After getting my degree, I went into research and development at Herr Foods and retained that position for 4 years. I was the lead product developer and worked with a variety of snack foods ranging from potato chips and popcorn to extruded items such as cheese curls and everything in between! I worked with a variety of application methods including dry topical seasonings, liquid flavors, and slurry application systems. I was also responsible for conducting shelf-life studies and managing the non-GMO and organic programs. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, golfing, going to the beach and watching movies!
Q: What is your favorite part of your role here at Fuchs so far?
A: My favorite part of my role here at Fuchs so far has been getting the opportunity to meet with each department and learning what everyone’s responsibilities are.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about your role here?
A: I am looking forward to getting to know all my customers and developing lasting relationships with them in order to mutually grow our business.
Q: What food trends are you most excited about in 2021?
A: The trend in global foods is something I am very excited about because I love all types of cuisine and will try anything! Having new ethnic food choices becoming more mainstream will allow the average consumer to try new foods and have new experiences with food which is something I really enjoy.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: My family is Italian, so I am a big fan of any Italian food! One of my all-time favorites is Osso Bucco.
Q: Is there anything else you would like our customers and fellow employees to know about you?
A: I am very excited to join the Fuchs team, and I look forward to taking on this new role!
