2023 Year in Review

As we wrap 2023, we are reflecting on the milestones and highlights of the past year. In many ways, we are celebrating our successes, as well as looking forward to what’s to come in the year ahead. Here’s a snippet of some our most significant milestones and successes in 2023.

Innovative Seasoning Collections

We launched several new seasoning collections in 2023! Each of our new collections offered innovative takes on up-and-coming trends.

  • The Butter Board Blends Collection brought innovation to the butter board trend with three seasonings that featured trendy ingredients that consumers have been craving.
  • The Standout Seasonings Collection introduced our take on the fried chicken sandwich trend, offering a selection of seasonings that combine to create a fusion of mouthwatering flavors that can be applied to menu items including fried chicken sandwiches and much more.
  • The Back to Basics Collection featured flavors that highlight and bring out the best of the five basic tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami.
  • The Indian Inspirations Collection, inspired by trends surrounding interest in international cuisines, reflects on the diverse flavors found throughout India and showcases some of the top trending flavors.
  • The Fried and True Collection embraced the comforting and mouthwatering flavors of fried foods that consumers crave.

Informative White Paper

We also released a new white paper in 2023 to share our expertise in consumer preferences and flavor trends with our customers.

Plant-Based Possibilities focuses on the plant-based food and beverage trend that has taken the food industry by storm. Our experts offer their insights into this trending category and the prime opportunities surrounding it.

Trends, Trends, and More Trends!

We kept the insights coming in 2023, with our weekly blog providing our experts’ takes on macro trends, specific category trends, and how brands can innovate with these trends to create products that consumers will be obsessed with. Soup, dairy, and salsa were among our highlighted categories. We also offered insights into more specific topics including eggs, coffee, and seaweed and kelp.

International cuisines held some of the top trending flavors this year. Our experts touched on many globally inspired cuisines such as Mediterranean, European, Filipino, and more. Highlights on better-for-you trends, the surge in sugar reduction, and mood boosting flavors, were also among some of the hot topics we covered.

In addition to the latest trends in the food industry, our focus on sustainability was at the forefront of our minds. Finding solutions to both better ourselves and the environment around us will benefit the products that we produce for our customers.
